Summer Adventure 2009

The nanny travel blog is back! In the next 7 weeks I will be in 7 countries! And all my stories will be on here! I try to update everyday or as close to that as I can and pictures also as often as I can!

So here is the first couple days of my summer adventure!

Saturday July 11 (one month before my 20th birthday!) we had a busy day! We got to the Phoenix airport at like 9 got checked in then got to the gate, ethan and I played cards and we waited. The flight to LA was great Ethan slept the whole way! (all 1 hour lol)  but it was still something! Then in LA after we checked in for the next flight, we had some ice cream, Ethan played, we sat around then we went through security and then went to our gate (oh and the LA airport is horrible plus it is under construction so it makes it worse lol) but then once we got to the gate Ethan and I ran up and down and up and down the hallways 16 hours sitting on a plane is a long time so we got out some energy! Then we got on the plane and started watching movies! "Duplicity" is a good one fyi! And this flight was nice Ethan slept for 12 of the 16 hours and I dozed in and out his head was laying on me so it made it hard to sleep for long periods of time but he slept so that was great! We finally landed in Dubai and it was 8pm Sunday we left LA at 4pm Saturday... But the Dubai airport is really modern America needs to step it up a notch I tell ya... then we rode in a women's only PINK taxi! Which I love pink so it was fun! Sunday night I kinda slept J'lein tried to sleep and Ethan was WIDE awake... made it for a long night early morning!

So that was the getting out of America post and I promise most post are much more fun! This one was more for me to remember the day! Next I will post all about our stay in Dubai but I want to wait till its finished so that will be sometime on Wednesday or Thursday!
